An excellent opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join the REX Engineering Team as an Engine Workshop Technician, working on CT7 gas turbine engines and components for our Saab 340 fleet. This position is full-time based in Wagga Wagga, NSW.

Reporting:
This position reports to the Engine Shop Supervisor.
Position Responsibilities:
- Repair, servicing, and overhaul of gas turbine engines (primarily GE CT7 series), batteries, wheels, and brakes
- Maintain the highest standards of quality and airworthiness for all components repaired or overhauled in the workshop.
- Upkeep of workshop & equipment
- Completion of appropriate documentation
Essential Selection Criteria:
- Cert 4 in mechanical trade industry or Cert 4 in Aeroskills - Mechanical
- Gas turbine engine experience
- Proven mechanical aptitude and technical expertise in aircraft component maintenance
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Ability to work under independently and adhere to deadlines
- Working knowledge of WHS procedures
- A valid driver’s licence
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Reasonable level of computer skills
- Meet the necessary requirements to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card
- High level of visual acuity
Preferred Selection Criteria:
- 2+ years' experience in aeronautical product
- Experience in aircraft maintenance engineering
- GE CT7 engine experience
- Knowledge of CASA regulations
